To be fair, Observer, there's only about an inch on the ground. It's hardly the Siberian steppes is it?

I don't know where you live Southover Queen but there was so much snow outside my front door this morning I had a job opening the door. Mind you the door has been playing up lately Ha Ha. Joking apart there was at least 4 inches of snow in my garden this morning.

I'm in Southover, Observer.
Seriously though, I have a elderly guest planning a visit tomorrow afternoon and wonder whether I should persuade her to postpone. She's planning on driving and I'm a bit worried that the roads are very treacherous. I haven't ventured beyond St Pancras Stores so I'd genuinely welcome advice from others. She's coming from Brighton where they've cleared all the main road apparently, so she's really not aware of just how slippery our narrow and steep little streets can be.
