Does anybody know why there is a tower of flints held together with wire mesh on the top of the Malling Down nature reserve? Not sure if it's supposed to be a sculpture or if it signifies something. I don't remember it being there when I was a kid so wonder when it was built.

I seem to remember reading somewhere that on that site was an iron age burial mound which was excavated and completely taken apart. When they finished the cairn of flint was built, presumably as some sort of replacement grave marker.
