i'm impressed. I never thought they would do it. The football club has shifted 2200 tickets for tomorrows game against Brighton and Hove Albion.
So it could be a bit congested around the station/Mountfield Road areas tomorrow evening. Probably a good area to avoid unless you are actually attending.

Its been a while since the Pan housed so many. Can anyone remember the attendance against Eastbourne on Boxing Day in the promotion year? Kick-Off was delayed by 20 minutes or so because of people still arriving.

I have always found the food to be of the highest quality. Ok, so you have to wait sometimes but what other football clubs offer Stilton or Cheddar on your burger, home made scotch eggs and fabulous flapjack? Oh, I forgot the Rook Pies.

After following the Rooks to many, many away games over the years I can confidently say that the food at the Pan is, comparatively speaking, good. Of course there are occasional problems. Some of the food at some other clubs is simply attrocious or non existent. You give them the benefit of the doubt and think it might just be a one off, but you go back the following season and it's just as bad.

The food at the Pan is generally as good as you could expect. The burgers were recommended in the Guardian tho maybe that's not that suprising. I have another season tkt at a different championship club and go to a lot of Sussex County league games and other non league and can't think of anywhere that does better food or has better service in the bar,,
The problem is that once or twice a season there is a big crowd over 4 figures and the one hatch and van up on the side can't cope but I don't understand what people expect from a non league football club. It is obvious now that there will be queues of some length tomorrow for hot food so don't moan ffs.
Mind you these are Albion fans who have gone from an average of 4000 at the Withdean to 20000 in a few years because of a promotion and a new stadium..
Maybe the food outlets at Lewes should just do a load of Prawn Sandwiches...
Discussions about food at football gawd when I was a kid....

Its obviously going to be busy so i'm sure they will lay on extra food outlets, there is money to be made after all and they need as much as they can get.

Or if you fancy a bite before the match come up to the Elephant and Castle and enjoy a discounted meal & drink if you've got a ticket for this match or a support and save cards.
Lewes and Brighton fans can both get discounts.
