Brighton put out all their first team except Wayne Bridge and Vicente. It was probably the strongest team I have ever seen at Lewes, watched by the biggest crowd. The rooks put up a good show though against the pros.

Good first half - Lewes had some early chances. Though Max Howell looked sharp. Well taken goal before half-time although Brighton had looked quite quiet up-front until then. Second half, completely different Brighton XI. Lualua's pace was a real threat on the left and led to the penalty / second goal. Bruno became more dominant as the half wore on. Third goal was a bit lucky and Lewes were increasingly bringing on youngsters - so as Lopster says no disgrace at all. Worth noting that Brighton played a chunk of the first half with 10 men (Mackail-Smith injury) and a larger chunk of the second with 10 (Lualua injury). Great night out, fantastic to see so many there - and fab pies!
