Hi all, just a quick question for any CLUB members out there. Were you consulted about what was being done in your name? I'm talking of course about the film club being instrumental in the decision to replace Lewes Cinema with something operated by the council and the club. I'm guessing that members were not consulted judging by some of the comments we have received from members who don't like the decision - and in particular the lack of consultation with us - the cinema. This question is aimed at ordinary members only not committee members. Thanks. LC.

You can contact us via the LewesCinema.co.uk site and email us privately from there if you prefer.
If it is an honestly held opinion, why would they wish to do it "privately". Too much cloak and dagger methinks!

Bozodog, completely agree with you - BUT.. there might be film club members who are unhappy about the decision but who won't want to publicly go against their own club. Messages of support we've had so-far from club members unhappy about this were sent privately by email. Of course it should all be in the open - if it was we wouldn't be in this mess but if somebody prefers private comments that's fine with me. In fact as you can see - nobody has come forward yet - publicly.
