'Afternoon everyone. Thanks for reading this friendly appeal for your support for Lewes FC, which won't cost you a penny!
Funds are short at The Pan, so the Board and other volunteers are busy exploring new ways of raising money for the Club. One such method which a few of us started using a couple of months ago could be a perfect vehicle for you to support the Mighty Rooks, but without really doing anything or digging into your pockets...
If you (or anyone in your household) shops on-line, we would ask you to kindly sign up to our 'easyfundraising' page. When you go shopping, you simply have to click on your chosen retailer on the 'easy' home page, and when you make your purchase the site arranges for the retailer to make a small % donation to the Club. It's really that easy!
Basically it's a portal site at which you need to register, select Lewes FC as your nominated good cause, and then build up your list of favourite retailers. The choice of retailers is staggeringly comprehensive, including the supermarkets, insurers, airlines, phone companies, Amazon, energy companies, M&S, Apple, John Lewis, and virtually every other on-line retailer you could think of.
We currently have about 70 people registered, and the leading fundraisers have already raised between £20 and £60 each. It would be amazing if we can get say 1000 Lewes people doing their on-line shopping via the 'easyfundraising' site, raising a few pence here and the odd quid there, all of which could add up to several thousands of pounds each year for the Club.
So please a take look at the info linked below, sign up, make the minor change to your shopping routine, and really help the Rooks become self-sufficient. Thanks very much for reading this far!

Thanks for that, Rooks Fan. I read about in the programme yesterday, and joined today. I'm amazed to say that it's as easy as you say it is. Needed to buy a washing machine - from John Lewis - as the old one packed up on Friday - got the machine I wanted, and raised over £4 for LFC into the bargain. Feel really pleased with myself!!
When does the Club actually get the money?

I don't shop on the internet, but my god-children do so I will tell them all about this.

Not sure, New Fan. But the site recalculates the amount raised very few days. Thanks for joining!

Count me in. Seems a no-brainer. Nice to help the local football club for free.

Thanks to those who've joined up - we're now at 75 members. Can anyone else help us get to 100 please?

Err, sounds like a good idea, and might help the rooks, but actually diverts spend and attention from our lovely and often struggling High St -do people want a great football club and shop online and at shopping centres??? Perhaps if they play better football they might get more money! Just a thought.
Seems like a double edged sword , Lewes town retailers need all the help they can get, perhaps they would give a donation from sales made from Rooks card holders (Iinstead of a discount back to customer, its unreasonable for them to have cake and eat it!), have you asked or approached them???

We're not trying to persuade people to shop on-line instead of on the High Street. We're just trying to get people who have already chosen to shop on-line, to shop in future via easyfundraising so that they can raise some much-needed funds for the Rooks..
    As some say, Simples!
