The bus was a replacement train service, just left the station and on its way to Polegate. I was on the bus with my family, and it had only started along Southover Road when someone lobbed a bottle through a top window, hitting a man severely on the head and shattering the window. No one saw anyone, but the driver had to return to the station where the police and an ambulance was called for the gentleman who had been hit.
