Every other Tuesday

Meeting in the Heart

12:15 - 14:15 Alternate Tuesdays 14 Nov, 12 Dec (no meeting on 28 Nov) and ongoing in new year.
Bring a cushion and blanket. Chairs also available.

Is your deepest desire to know who you are?
Are you longing for peace, for love, for truth, for freedom?
Have you heard the call to come home, to yourself, to the stillness of Being?

An invitation to move beyond the limitation of belief, opinion and perception and to rest your attention on the space of Awareness, of pure Consciousness, the Love that you are. You are invited to shift your perception from the mind to the heart, to ‘feel’ the Truth of who you are, which is ever-present, and begin to view life from the 'eyes of the heart'.

A spontaneous flow of meditation, self-enquiry, questions, insight and sharing/listening – an opportunity to feel and fully allow what is arising in honesty and to enquire into to the Truth of reality.

What is offered is a safe space of Love, of Presence, deep listening and a reflective mirror for your inner process. This is a space where Truth can be seen within yourself, questions can be clarified, misunderstandings can be realised and Love can be experienced as a reality, not simply as concept.

'Meeting in Heart' & 'Waking the Serpent' are held on alternate Tuesdays and are complementary. The stillness, sharing and enquiry of 'Meeting in the Heart' supports what is arising in the expressive movement of 'Waking the Serpent' and vice versa. You are welcome to attend either or both.

Come as you are. All that is required is willingness, openness and a sincere heart. See www.sacredhearth.net/teaching-schedule.html for meeting times.

Commercial Dance Class

17:30 - 18:30 What is Commercial Dance?! ‘Commercial’ refers to dance styles or routines that have been adapted for live or recorded performance such as TV shows, concerts, music videos, movies and obviously commercials or adverts. There are many different dance genres that can fall into the commercial bracket; street, jazz, ballet or even ballroom. Generally speaking, commercial dance is a ‘mixed bag’ of styles that are geared around entertaining and performance quality. More and more dance institutions are offering commercial classes on their timetables now as it is seen as a great skill for budding young dance professionals. UD’s class is fun, energetic, technically challenging at times but basically an excuse to dance, strut and ‘hair flick’ to the latest chart topper!

Beginners Tai Chi drop in classes (first session is free)

19:30 - 21:00 We teach Tai Chi following the teachings of Master Wee Kee Jin of the Tai Chi School of Central Equilibrium. Within our system we teach the Tai Chi principles through the 5 Loosening exercises of our teacher’s teacher Grandmaster Huang Sheng Shyan. Each week we teach the 37 step short form as a means of embodying the Tai Chi principles. As our understanding develops we then we bring those principles into partner work. Using the Tai Chi classics as a guide to deepen our practice we build on our understanding and generate greater focus in our training.

Tai Chi is great for health, relaxation, mindfulness, balance and it’s fun!

First session is free, so come give it a try!

Thursdays

Monthly Women's Shakti Circle

10:00 - 12:00 Monthly on a Thursday, 10-12am, £13, bring vegetarian lunch to share afterwards.

The women's temple offers a fluid approach to yoga/being in circle especially designed for women, which honours our monthly cycle and deep womanly wisdom. We may explore practices including yoga for women, breathwork, yoga nidra, meditation, menstrual cycle wisdom, sound and mudra (gesture). At other times, we may be guided to be in nature, simply share from the heart or spend some in silence. Each week will be different depending on what Love is asking us to be with.

By coming together in this way, we awaken the power of Shakti (the creative feminine life force), opening, trusting & connecting deeply to the collective wisdom of woman, and rediscover what it is to be in our feminine essence - free, wild, cyclical, flowing, natural, intuitive and loving.

In offering yourself this time, you will learn to receive yourself fully, connect with the different seasons of your cycle, your womanhood and radically transform your relationship with yourself and others. This class is suitable for all women. Pregnant women and babes in arms welcome.

Please visit www.wombsong.weebly.com for more about awakening the Feminine and the work with women or www.sacredhearth.net for all my offerings. See schedule for class times.

Drama club for adults

20:00 - 21:30 This club is designed as a fun, sociable and creative weekly activity, starting on 18th January 2018. It's not an acting class, it's not a team building exercise - it is for people who enjoy expressing themselves creatively and want to be with others that feel the same way. In our busy lives it’s good to take time out and treat yourself. We will roll together gentle, relaxing warm up exercises with fun improvisation games. The idea is to leave feeling happy, relaxed and to take away ideas and approaches you may want to incorporate in your everyday life.
