Anyone else hoping Andy Murray loses? Why should us english, be supporting a scot who hates us-in fact don't most scots hate the english? If the english are so bad, why do so many scottish people live in England, thats what I want to know.

For some strange reason, i've found myself cheering him on. I will always support our fellow home nations (providing they're not playing England) when they play sport but i think Murray has grown up a bit.
I think a lot of it is just banter. We've rammed it down the Scots throats that we won the world cup for the past 43 years and they hate it.
Hope he wins it although he could do with cheering up a bit.

I am just fuming that those two bl***y sisters are dominating the final again gets me so angry every year. Why don't they put them together right at the beginning or even in the quarter finals least that would give some of the other a chance.
I just don't bother watching the ladies any more once you get to the quarters coz you know exactly what will happen.

Come on A-Rod that's what I say - a much more interesting and charismatic person. I never understand why we are supposed to support someone just because they are British. It's not like he is representing his country, he is doing it for himself - just like Hamilton or Button in F1. At the olympics i'll support him, but at other times i'll support the player or competitor who I prefer - regardless of nationality.

The Scots bang on about independance but are happy to take millions of pounds in hand outs from English tax payers and want their MPs to sit in England's parliament. I think we should let them go, give them full independance. The savings in benefits payments and the like would improve public services in England and we could sell them food and stuff when their economy went bankrupt a few years down the line.

I find tennis pretty dull as a spectator sport and none of the players are particularly charismatic or supportable. I prefer the veterans (Or possibly they call it seniors) cups where you get people like Macenroe and Becker still playing. It's a slower pace but much more entertaining.

Too right Ed Can Do. I get so pi**ed off when I hear about the prescription charges that the scots don't have to pay, and university fees. And what really bugs me is that english mp's cannot vote on Scottish issues, but Scots can vote on English ones. Also, the Scots are always banging on about how wonderful Scotland is. If thats so, why do so many of them live down here????????
