After spending a night in the establishment, Alex sends in the deep cleaners, renovates the bedrooms and reorganises the staff in a bid to transform the hotel's reputation.
    I love the programme. I am not too fussy but find it really annoying when rooms are below standard. A chalet I was recently in had no shower(therefore making hair washing almost impossible),no lights on the bedside
    tables,and no full length mirror.Small but important points I felt.
    But it was extremely clean and very well kitted out.

    Karen should have had to wait another year to show that the hotel really was on the up!Anyone could try harder for a programme,but i wasn't convinced,so why was the tourist board guy so gullible?Time will tell....
