• Yep, plentiful grit bins, if they're worried about people nicking it, they can get lockable ones and have the keys held by officers of residents' associations etc. And enough grit in them to do pavements, as well as roads!
  
  They should also prioritise bus routes, including the local ones, and give priority to hilly areas. They did Landport before they did the Nevill, and Landport's nowhere near as steep.

• I beg to diifer Cop, it's the REPORTING of low level crime that has dropped not crime it self. No point in bothering plod about stuff like this as they don't give a f.uck, and even if they did what are the chances of them actually catching the toe rags.

• Just thought i would post a note to say that i had a set of wheels and tyres and an old battery stolen from my driveway today. Fortunately they weren't much use to me and my wife is glad to be rid of them, but they might steal something more desirable from your front garden if its not bolted down. I am in Nevill, but i don't suppose estate boundaries will be of any interest to the thieves. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! :(
